Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship 2026: Eligibility, Benefits & Online Application Process for ITI, Diploma, UG & PG Students

Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship 2026: You got admission in Class 11, ITI, a diploma or a degree course. But fees, books and hostel rent come back every year. For a family with a small income, this is hard to manage. An education loan also has to be paid back with interest. This scholarship from a Bengaluru trust helps with these costs.

Still, a few rules trip up many students. You can apply only once in your whole course. So if your form has a mistake, you don’t get a second try. Your college also matters. Government, aided and low-fee private colleges are fine, but a college with very high fees may not count. And many websites show fixed monthly amounts, but the official portal does not list any amount at all.

Below, we have explained what the scholarship covers, who can apply, the papers you need, the date rule and the six steps on the new online portal. Every point here comes from the foundation’s official website and its scholarship portal, checked on 31 October 2026.

What is the Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship?

It is a scholarship run by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation, a charity trust from Bengaluru that started in 1969. As per its website, it supports more than 12,000 students across India every year.

Key Points

  • The scholarship covers tuition fees, with extra help for hostel students, paid every 6 months.
  • You get only one chance per course, so check every paper before you submit.
  • Apply early in your course, because final-year students are not eligible.

Many people think it is a government scheme. It is not. No government portal is involved, and you apply only on the foundation’s own portal. It is also not a loan, so you never pay the money back.
