IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placements 2026: If you are preparing for CAT or choosing an MBA college, summer placements tell you a lot. They show which companies hire students in their very first year, long before final jobs. This year, IIMA students got roles in 27 groups of firms, from consulting and banking to AI and fashion.
But read the numbers carefully. “Over 230 roles” is the total of three cluster figures. It is not the number of students placed, and it does not tell you how much each intern earns. IIMA has not shared any stipend, highest offer or student count yet. So if you see a “highest stipend” figure online right now, it did not come from the institute.

What is the IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placement?
It is the process where first-year PGP (MBA) students get their summer internship. Companies come in groups called clusters. Each cluster covers a few sectors, which IIMA calls cohorts.

- Investment Banking: Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, HSBC
- PE/VC: Blackstone, Ares Management, Gaja Capital, Multiples
- Cards and Advisory: American Express, Cranmore Partners
IIMA’s release also names Alvarez & Marsal, Kepler Cannon and The Raine Group.
Cluster 2 Top Recruiters: Consumer Goods and Groups
This round is for FMCG brands and big business groups. Here are the main firms from each cohort:
- Conglomerates: Aditya Birla Group, Tata Administrative Services, Mahindra Group, Godrej Group
- Consumer Goods: Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Dabur, Dot & Key, Purplle

- Media: JioStar, Endemol Shine
Two cohorts were new this year: fashion, with Raymond, and real estate, with Eden Landmarks and Experion Developers.
Cluster 3 Top Recruiters: Tech, AI and Manufacturing
The last round had the most sectors, including a separate artificial intelligence cohort. Here are the main firms:

- Artificial Intelligence: CRMIT Solutions, DCirrus Cloud, Suchama AI
- Banking: Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, NaBFID

- Others: Bangalore International Airport Ltd, ReNew, Tesco, Motilal Oswal
Tata Consultancy Services made the most hires in the analytics and IT consulting cohort.
What is Still Not Disclosed About IIMA Summers 2026?
The three releases only name firms and give role counts. They don’t give stipend amounts, the highest or average stipend, the number of students, or how many roles went to each sector.
IIMA has said a consolidated press release will come “in the coming days”. Until then, treat any stipend number you see as unofficial.

No. Summer placement is for the internship in the first year. Final placements are a separate process later.
